Rice is the perfect accompaniment for this chicken dish. Unlike many oriental recipes, this one is simple to prepare. You can substitute chicken breasts for the thighs if you prefer white meat.


8 skinless chicken thighs
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 clove garlic, minced
8 ounce can tomato sauce


Place chicken in bottom of slow cooker. Mix together soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and tomato sauce. Pour over chicken and cover. Cook on low for 5-6 hours.
