My mother made this dish when I was a child, and I have continued the tradition. It does take a little more prep time than most of my recipes, but it’s still an easy, time saving recipe and worth the few extra minutes required.
8-12 ounces pasta, cooked according to package directions
4-6 strips bacon, cut into pieces
1 pound lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1/3 cup catsup
Brown bacon and drain fat from pan. Set bacon aside and brown ground beef and onion in same pan. Mix bacon and beef with cooked pasta, cheese, and catsup. Reheat if necessary.
